The BASEment Recording Studio is a professional recording facility in Toronto, Ontario. We built this space from the ground up with one goal: give independent artists access to the same quality of sound that major studios charge thousands for — at a price that makes sense.
Every session is engineered with care, using industry-standard hardware and software. From first-time artists stepping into a booth for the first time to seasoned professionals refining their next release, we treat every project like it matters — because it does.
We opened our doors to fill a gap in Toronto's music scene: too many studios either overcharge for mediocre results or cut corners on quality to keep prices low. At The BASEment, we refuse to compromise on either. Our acoustically treated rooms, premium microphone collection, and full plugin arsenals from UAD, Waves, FabFilter, Antares, and Celemony ensure that every recording meets release-ready standards.

The Team
The BASEment is run by a small, dedicated crew of musicians and engineers who live and breathe audio. Every member brings a unique skill set to the table — from engineering and production to live instrumentation and content strategy.
Owner / Head Engineer
Audio engineer, producer, and the brain behind The BASEment. With years of experience behind the console, dvlce specializes in vocal recording, mixing, and mastering across all genres. He built this studio from the ground up to give independent artists access to professional sound at a fair price.
Social Media Manager
Jess handles the studio's online presence across Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook. From content creation to brand strategy, she ensures The BASEment's work reaches the artists who need it most.
Session Drummer
Renato is a session drummer and live recording specialist who brings raw energy and groove to every project. Whether you need live drum tracking for your record or percussion on a beat, he delivers.
Guitarist / Bassist
Multi-instrumentalist Marko adds live guitar and bass to productions. From clean jazz voicings to distorted rock riffs, he brings an authentic live element that elevates any track.

We invest in the tools that make the biggest difference to your sound. Every microphone, interface, monitor, and plugin in our studio is chosen for its sonic accuracy and reliability in professional recording environments.

We're open from 12 PM to 2 AM, Monday through Sunday, except Wednesdays. This includes late-night sessions for artists who prefer to work after hours. If you need time outside these hours, contact us — we can sometimes accommodate special requests.
Just yourself and your music. We provide all microphones, headphones, pop filters, and engineering. If you have a reference track, lyrics, or a specific mic preference, send those ahead of time so we can prepare. For vocalists, bring water and warm up your voice before arriving.
A 25% deposit secures your booking — payable online via Stripe, PayPal, or e-transfer. The remaining balance is due at the session. Pay in full at checkout at least 24 hours ahead and save 10% — the discount applies automatically. Bulk packages (4hr, 15hr, 30hr) bring the rate down as low as $55/hr.
Absolutely. We encourage artists to visit before their first session. Call or text us at 647-575-5653 to arrange a walkthrough. You can also check out our YouTube channel for video tours of the space and equipment.
Yes — the more hours you book, the lower the rate: 4+ hours at $65/hr, 15+ hours at $60/hr, 30+ hours at $55/hr. Paying in full 24+ hours in advance saves an additional 10%.
Everything. Our roster includes hip-hop, R&B, pop, rock, electronic, Latin, Afrobeats, country, jazz, classical crossover, podcast, voiceover, and more. We adapt our engineering approach, mic selection, and processing chain to suit your genre and artistic direction.
Yes. You don't need to record here to use our mixing and mastering services. Send us your stems or final mix via email or file transfer, and we'll provide a quote based on the scope of the project. Turnaround is typically 3–5 business days.
