The BASEment Recording Studio · North York, Toronto

Recording studio services in Toronto

Five different things happen in this room, and people arrive looking for exactly one of them. Pick the one you came for — each page tells you what the session actually involves, what you walk away with, and what it costs, before you talk to anybody.

All of it happens at 23 Alexis Blvd, North York, Toronto, ON M3H 2P2, with an engineer in the room and the same gear regardless of which door you came in through. Rates run $50–$65/hr depending on how many hours you book.

One hourly rate, and it goes down the more you book

Studio rate

$65 / hour

Engineer included. Your first session is 25% off, and paying in full 24 hours ahead takes another 10% off.

4+ hours

15+ hours

30+ hours

That is up to 23% off the standard rate at 30 hours ($50 an hour). Bulk hours are prepaid and used whenever you like — a single booking cannot run long enough to reach the top tiers on its own.

A 25% deposit holds the room (minimum $30) and the balance is due at the session. Deposits go through Stripe or PayPal; e-transfer is fine too.

Everything here is billed at that hourly rate — mixing, mastering, podcast editing and full productions included. What changes with the job is the estimate, not the rate: tell us the scope and you get the hours and the cost before any work starts. It is the fairer way round, because work that comes together quickly genuinely costs you less than a flat per-job fee would.

There is a full equipment list, a studio tour video and the FAQ on the about page, and before-and-after audio from real sessions on the services section of the homepage. If you would rather read first, the studio guides cover what studio time costs in Toronto and how to walk in ready.

Not sure which one you need?

Book an hour and tell us what you are trying to make. If it turns out you need something else, we will point you at it — nobody here is trying to sell you a service you did not come for.
